2006 Sea Race Season

The 2006 season is nearing an end with the Liffey Swim on the 9th of September. Two club members have won races this season. Following on his sucess winning our own Larry Caulfield cup Tadhg Murphy won this year's Dun Laoghaire Harbour Race. Tadhg' nephew Sean Kenna is also having an excellent season having won the Clarke Cup and also got placed in several races.

Larry Caulfield Cup

The 17th annual Larry Caulfield Cup race was held at Highrock Portmarnock on the 16th of July. Despite clashing with the Leinster Senior Football final in which Dublin were playing 107 swam in the men's race won by our own Tadhg Murphy. Vincent's also won the team prize with Broc Coughlan 3rd place, Paul Reynolds coming in 7th and Ciaran Nolan getting 15th. The Audrey Lynch cup was won by Catriona O'Flaherty with 80 swimming in the ladies race. Thanks to all our sponsors and those who helped organise the event and those who competed.

Race Results and Calendar

Results of all the races held and the full 2006 sea race calendar are available on the Swim Leinster web site Open Sea Programme 2006. A new addition to the site is the Jellyfish ID Card, a guide to Jelly fish in Irish waters.
