Leinster League Division 3
Vincent's were beaten by a strong Drogheda in the first match of the season.
Leinster League Division 2
St Vincent's won their first Leinster League Div 2 match beating North Dublin 2 - 1. A mixed team of youth and experience and by far the stronger team Vincent's struggled to press home their advantage missing a penalty and several man ups. North Dublin also had a penalty saved.
National League Division 3
The NLD3 team opened the season with two wins, beating UL confortably 20 - 2 and having a tougher match against Cathal Brugha which was won 9 - 5
New SeasonThe new season starts the end of the month. The attached letter from the committee gives details of fees and training sessions for the forthcoming season. Letter to Members Also attached is the IWPA fixture list for the 2006 -2007 season
Liffey Swim 2006Congrats to Sean Kenna who picked up 8th place in this year's Liffey Swim. Sean was followed closely by Uncle Tadhg who in 11th place picked up the Vet's prize. Ciaran Nolan and Ciaran Greene completed their first Liffey Swim in what was one of the toughest Liffey Swim's ever. Sea race vets Dave Turner, Paul Reynolds, Broc Coughlan, Ciaran Caverly (Cav) and Mick Mongey also competed.For further news and photos on the season see Sea Race Season 2006

National League Promotion PlayoffThe first team beat Clontarf 13 - 8 to gain promotion to National League Division 1 for the new season. The new season kicks off with Vincent's playing UL in NLD3 on the 7th of October in the NAC at 17:00. The first team will have their first match on Saturday 14th Oct against North Dublin in the NAC at 18:30. The panels will be announced next week. Our women's team play their first match in WNLD1 on the 21st OCT against Polar Bears at 18:30 in the NAC
Club AGM 2006The club AGM will be held on Tuesday 19th September at 08:30pm in the Sports Hall. Any motions or Nominations should be given to the Club secretary Mick Mongey or any committee member.

Irish Senior Cup FinalFor the second year in sucession St Vincent's have competed in the Irish Senior Cup Finals held in the University of Limerick pool. A young Vincent's team five of whom were Under 16 lost their three games but performed well. Valuable experience was gained playing against Half moon who went on to win the tournament and Sandycove both of which had foreign players in their squads.
Swim Ireland AGM The Swim Ireland AGM & Congress will be held in the Abbeygate Hotel, Tralee Saturday 22nd April and Sunday 223rd April. Attached is a copy of the IWPA Report 2005 to Swim Ireland
Irish Under 16 CupCongratulations to our Under 16 boys who won the Irish Under 16 cup in Belfast beating Cathal Brugha in the finals. Congrats also to our Under 16 girls team who were narrowly beaten in their final.
This follows the sucess of our Under 19 team in winning the Irish Under 19 cup back in December.
